This document will help you get started with using the SMARTBoard from orienting the SMARTBoart (to tell the computer where the image of the desktop is being displayed on the surface of
theSMARTBoard so that when you write on the board, your writing will appear where you write it) to checking to make sure all the SMARTBoard applications you will be using to deliver your lesson or presentation are working properly.
You can download from various sites lessons that others have already prepared, but if you would like to create your own lesson, this is a good place to start. It takes you step by step through the process of creating a flag/country matching activity.
With a word document open on the SMARTBoard, you can write on the SMARTBoard and insert that writing into your document. This new document can be saved with your additions. Your writing can even be converted to typed text and inserted into the document.
This tutorial explains how to use the SMARTBoard to create an Excel document. Students can even write data on the SMARTBoard and have that data saved to the Excel document.
To help presentations become more collaborative and relevant, you can make notes, add diagrams and save your work directly into your PowerPoint file.
